Volunteers sign their own record of attendance. Hours are recorded for annual service awards.
Uniforms & Badges

Assignments
Service Guidelines exists for each volunteer position. Assignments are determined based on your specific skills, expertise, personality and interests whenever possible.
Orientation
All new volunteers are required to attend a full day of hospital orientation. Orientation covers aspects such as fire safety, infection control, customer service, HIPAA, confidentiality, etc.
Confidentiality
It is critical that all volunteers maintain a high degree of patient confidentiality, including refraining from talking about patients and their illnesses or conditions. Every patient has a right to privacy. In addition, we ask that volunteers not seek professional advice from members of our staff.
