General Information

The Laboratory at Santa Rosa Medical Center provides quality testing and excellence in customer service.  Staffed 24 hours each day, doctors are provided test results to assist them in their patient care decisions. 

Our laboratory staff consists of certified Medical Technologists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, Phlebotomists, and Pathologists.  We are proud to offer these highly trained laboratory professionals for your service.  

Services

Some of our services include, but are not limited to: 

1) coumadin checks
2) urinalysis
3) glucose tolerance testing
4) cholesterol tests
5) drug screen collections
6) blood cultures
7) pregnancy tests

Please note, all tests require a physician's prescription. Santa Rosa Medical Center accepts out of state physician  orders/prescriptions.  It is important to bring your physicians telephone and fax number.  This enables our laboratory to send your test results to your doctor in a timely manner. 

Registration

Registration is required for services.  You may register at the main desk in the front lobby Monday through Friday.  On weekends and after hours, please register with the staff in our Emergency Department.  Please remember to bring your physician's order/prescription when you come in for your test.

Hours of Operation

No appointment is necessary for outpatient lab tests.  Preferred hours are 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. seven days per week.  However, we have laboratory services to cover 24   hours a day, 7 days per week to meet your walk-in needs.
